We provide
Non-Destructive Testing (Concrete) Services
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is increasingly popular today as it does not affect the structural integrity of members, is time-efficient, and provides more indicative results.
Our company offers two types of non-destructive testing for concrete strength measurement:
- Rebound Hammer Test
- SONREB Method
The rebound hammer test is well-known for correlating with the compressive strength of concrete, but it primarily measures immediate surface hardness and has some limitations.
The SONREB method, on the other hand, is highly effective for determining concrete compressive strength. It combines the advantages of both the rebound hammer and ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) techniques. The rebound hammer provides quick, non-destructive measurements of surface hardness, while UPV assesses internal homogeneity and detects flaws such as cracks and voids.
By integrating these methods, the SONREB technique offers a more comprehensive and accurate evaluation of concrete strength. This dual approach mitigates the limitations of using either method alone, enhancing the reliability of the results. Studies have demonstrated that the SONREB method significantly improves the prediction accuracy of concrete compressive strength compared to using each technique independently.
